Outline of Wedding Event Milestones

Even ‘simple’ weddings are complex operations requiring that a number of people who do not routinely work together must coordinate their activities in a highly choreographed manner. We believe the photographers must be familiar with the plans and committed to put forth their best efforts to help those plans succeed.

We suggest the following general course of action to help us accomplish our goal of providing the images you want with an insignificant impact on your special day.

  1. An initial interview to establish compatibility.
We want to insure that our style is consistent with and capable of producing the results you desire.
  2. More detailed interviews as needed.
These will start with us listening to your goals for the photography, evolve to brainstorming sessions in which we will make suggestions and conclude with a general agreement of your requirements.
  3. A formal proposal.
We will submit a formal written proposal summarizing our understanding of your needs. This will typically include the number of hours of image capture, the minimum list of subjects to be photographed, the minimum number of images, the cost for the package as proposed and the basis for determining the additional costs for any change in the scope of the project.
  4. Meet with venue officials.
We will be available to meet with you and the person(s) conducting the service to be sure all of us understand the ground rules for photography in your venue. Any necessary changes to the scope of the project will be negotiated at this time.
  5. Meet with wedding coordinator.
We will be available to meet with the wedding coordinator at least once within two weeks before the event to establish communication and learn the plan for the day.
  6. We will attend your wedding rehearsal at no charge to you.
We will photograph the rehearsal and include ‘proof’ quality images in the final package at no additional charge. Since our main objective of this exercise is to study lighting and camera angles, no guarantee of quality is implied.
  7. Image delivery.
We will have your images posted on the web and/or available for shipment on DVDs within seven days of your wedding. The web-based mages will be sized to give files of ~300k. The DVD will contain full resolution images in a minimally compressed JPEG format. Files may be delivered in a TIF format at an extra cost.
  8. Prints.
Prints up to 8 x 10 may be ordered directly from the web or using the images on your DVD. Larger prints may require custom processing.
